Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Route Plan, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Abhishek Deb in India ("The Route Plan", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit www.therouteplan.com, use the linked product demo, or join the early-access list (together, the "Services").

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

If you join early access, we collect the email address you submit. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information included in your message. The current landing website and demo do not ask for payment information, identity documents, vehicle details, emergency contacts, precise live location, or user-uploaded routes or media.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics, which is enabled by default, to collect information about visits and interactions. This may include pages viewed, referring pages, buttons or links used, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from an IP address, and diagnostic or performance information. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. We do not use the landing website for targeted advertising.

Technical and security information

Our infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, browser details, security events, and server logs to deliver the Services, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain security.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• manage the early-access list and send confirmation, product, and launch emails;
• respond to questions, requests, and support messages;
• measure and improve the landing website, demo, and signup experience;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent misuse of the Services; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

3. Consent and communication choices

By submitting your email, you request early-access communications from us. Each marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. You may also withdraw your consent or request removal by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal or information we must retain under applicable law.

Analytics is currently enabled by default. You can restrict or clear cookies through your browser settings or use an available Google Analytics opt-out mechanism. Blocking cookies may affect some website functionality.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with:

• Brevo, for mailing-list management and email delivery;
• Google Analytics, for website measurement and reporting;
• Cloudflare, for hosting, content delivery, performance, and security;
• Amazon Web Services (AWS), for supporting infrastructure and services;
• Clerk, where a linked authentication-enabled service is used; the current landing page does not require a Clerk account;
• professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required; and
• a successor in connection with a merger, reorganisation, financing, sale, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.

These providers may process information outside your state or outside India. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Children

The landing website and demo do not contain adult content and may be viewed by people of all ages. However, if you are under 18, you must use the Services with the involvement and consent of a parent or lawful guardian. A person under 18 should not submit an email address or other personal information without that consent. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion of a child's information.

6. Retention

We do not currently apply a fixed expiry period to early-access records. We retain an email address while the early-access list remains active, until the subscriber unsubscribes or requests deletion, or while retention is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or required by law. Analytics and technical records are retained according to provider settings and operational or legal needs. We may keep limited suppression records to honour unsubscribe requests.

7. Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to provide information about our processing, correct inaccurate information, delete information, withdraw consent, or address a privacy grievance. We may need reasonable information to verify and complete a request. You may nominate another person to exercise applicable rights where the law permits.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where required by law, we will provide notice of a personal-data breach to affected individuals and relevant authorities.

9. Third-party links

The Services may link to social networks, external websites, or future application pages. We do not control their privacy practices. Review the privacy notice of any third-party service before providing information to it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update its effective or revision date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or email where appropriate.
